Online Stores Busier Than Church

According to the online retail trade group IMRG, more people will shop for bargains on Christmas Day than attend a church service, with an estimated £104 million due to be spent. Last year, 4.4 million people spent £84 million on Christmas Day, but with additional growth this year, retailers are expecting more.

John Lewis has joined the retailers with Christmas Day sales this year, launching at 6pm on Christmas Eve, after realising that they missed out last year.
